All advertisements in Nigeria - whether for TV, radio, print, outdoor, or digital media - must be vetted and approved by ARCON before publication or broadcast. This is a legal requirement to ensure ads are truthful, decent, and do not mislead consumers.

Question 3

What happens if I advertise without ARCON approval?

Accepted Answer

Advertising without ARCON approval can result in penalties including fines, removal of the advertisement, and potential legal action. It can also damage your brand reputation and relationships with media partners who require proof of ARCON approval.

How long does ARCON vetting usually take?

Accepted Answer

Traditional ARCON vetting can take several days to weeks depending on the complexity of your submission and completeness of your documentation. Our tool helps you prepare a complete submission package to minimize delays.

We support common image formats (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP), video formats (MP4, MOV, AVI), and PDF documents. The maximum file size is 200MB.

Question 13

Why do I need an ARCON member number to pay via Remita?

Accepted Answer

ARCON requires all vetting fee payments to be made through Remita using your ARCON member number.
